Civil War Cycling is Coming May 1, 2017!!
About Civil War Cycling … Who says women can’t love history enough to bicycle through U.S. military parks?! And really, am I less of a woman for wearing tight cycling shorts (with a padded liner) while standing next to a cannon? For goodness sake, I’m in my late 50s. I can do what I want!
Civil War Cycling is one of my projects. Do you love the idea of learning American History while exploring civil war battlefields on a bicycle? If so, this site is for you!
Our focus is outdoor, experiential learning that is safe, fun, and tailored to all skill levels. If you are a wanna-be bicyclist and/or a not-so-real historian, the beauty of this website is that you can lurk and learn and play anonymously.
But there’s one thing I ask: Go to the Civil War Cycling teaser page at https://www.civilwarcycling.com and share your email address so that I can send you an email when the site is up and running. I’ve got videos, photographs, fun quizzes, and lots of historical stuff to share with you!

Civil War Cycling … Woman My Way?
Yes, that’s right. They are related, but maybe not obviously so.
When I resigned from my corporate job in 2014, it was because one day I woke up and realized that a woman in her 50s has every right and obligation — every freedom — to live the life that she wants.
So, I spent 2.5 years caring for my family and friends. It was also 2.5 years of reading and writing and bicycling.
And I hope to do this for as long as my eyes, hands, feet, and heart hold-out.
It’s all good. Woman My Way. Join me!
